 I got thinking my Acer d250 wasn't awesome enough with it's 2 gigs of ram and external drive. I have a cheap tabet for it but it's not enough Ither. I wanted a net book with some ease of use. i don't mind the key boards, I would perfer some thing simpler. maybe a joy stick for GTa.. I'm stoked Sanandreas at least can play on this thing.  it can emulate and play some older games. it still can run Flash witch I live out of, and it's slow with it but not to bad. it's good at handling the lighter stuff. I want lighter inputs. So First I sent off for some Parts, Touch screen Passive resistor and a usb controller. I've got a few cases drawn for this already to cut templates for.  I started by making a paper mock up and sized out some things. I want to wait for a wile before opening up my note book. there are a few things on the way first. I don't have a joy stick. the Touch screen is coming in the mail in a few weeks. well I am starting this thing, so I decided to make a stab at the case now before I rip open or wait to see parts... I have the plans do I have the plastic? ah what do I have kicking around.. Magnifying plates!!! Yeah we found these things. those big old Flat ribbed plates that make your face huge when you look through them...  That's what I'm going with, well that's what we are going with. Chelsea lends a hand with some bits of this one, she bought 4 plates to help me on this one. I've still cut the hole thing out of the plains I drew up. I've still got to glue in screw posts for scraped electronics shells. This is going to look allot sharper than I have done in a wile.   |

I haven't posted in a wile, because the PC case mod is going well. Not done yet. I'm really close I'm only giving it a few hours a night here and there. so I guess I could get around to more pictures being up loaded or just wait till it's all done.
I did take loads of good pictures.
Still waiting on:
Case completion (Just adding screw posts and making final adjustments.)
Touch screen parts, and strangely enough a plain as shit game pad USB two thumb sticks.
I'm still liking the case lay out. I'll have it functional some time soon and wait to close up the sides till after I find the USB game pad. I put in screw posts and they all work pretty well, when I'm satisfied they work really well I'll put the net book back together. the face plate and the screen come apart well so when I've gone as far as having the game pad wired up inside I'll be done. since the Touch screen mods a separate custom job I'm going to keep the unit functional but with that in mind.
Though biggest concern right now is that Chelsea and I are trying to get in to this school. we have to draw tons right now. I keep blowing other things off to work on that and then do this case mod. the School is still on the top of my list.

now that I've been a bit more up on what I need to get accomplished in these next few days. I come home to find the First of three parts still needed in the mail box ready to happen.

If your doing any one of a kind case's or kemeras get a fucking Scroll saw. Don't be a dip shit like me and route out every acking edge because you only have a dremel. Of course you will however say fuck that and use what you have till you can find a Saw all for your self.

    let's recap, I shouldn't be working on this thing right now I'm trying to get into an art college with a highly competitive program. though I'm using this project to unwind, I should be saving updates for a latter time. The case is really close to completion, I've managed to find the controller I had in my head.. There are pictures of that and the rest of the case I'm not going to up load till after my admission requirements are completed. I added a three stage controller and LED lights under the Magnified case giving it an even stranger effect. after it's wired up I'll be left with one USB port (Starting with three minus one for the screen one for the controller board) I might add a Hub to gain back all and one additional port. My goal to not reroute much of the Acers ports will be in question as the Pots for the right hand joystick gets really fucking close to a VGA port. The heat hasn't yet concerned me, in fact I'm sure the arrangement is much better, considering the case is wider lower and has little interfering with it's ducting. I've been waiting on one part in the mail now for a wile, it should be here almost any day. short of that much of the mod is done, but waiting for my school work to be done before completion. The actual status of the case is ahead of the Pictures posted, my intent is to wail out the finished project before April, to take some good time on this one before we head west for more work. (More work, if Ontario wasn't such of fucking dull place there would be plenty keeping us busy... so I guess we are just going for what we know, seriously though don't come here if your expecting to work hard, that's not really on the table, every thing's to comfortable I want my running around) |

wait for it... accelerating build, our basement flooded and my girlfriend and I are on the verge of writing off the Provence. wonderful place (in the summer, which is 4 months out of the year, so we couldn't give a fuck.) I did get our stuff to the College just out side Toronto, (have already a hang up about schools with fast food chains built right into them.) there is still hardly any work. We are leaving this sunday or saturday. I'm not sure if that's long enough to wire up every thing. I'm still waiting on a part that has yet to show up what so ever.... The part I need is the touch screen controller, I've got the USB hub, resistor for the screen, and the xbox controller. I'm not really needing much more for the case the side walls and the new back side need a bit of work, that would keep me busy till we leave. then if it survives The Canada I'll post it on here and let you know. (All six separate readers)
Also Ontario is a nice place, lots to do. Though if your stuck in a small town with 17 churches and no weed. IT WILL FUCKING SUCK>>WITH TEETH!!! meat grinding stupidity, this town wants to grow more tobacco and they are asking the Provence money to do so... Other cash crops turned down around here include peanuts soy and hemp. there is a huge Ethanol thing here to Monsanto brand fuckup mutant corn is growing well at the expense of farmers "Bottom line" excuse to negate foresight. (THEY ARE GETTING RIPPED OFF)
Also I wrote Monsanto again on a Forum, if some jack ass shows up and starts talking shit, or Spamming like hell, they are planted by said fucked up company; listen to them and jack off accordingly.

still using the LSD 25, the final parts have shipped, will be in Vancouver around 420. some of the last pieces will be assembled in a hostel over robson st. can't wait. I can at least play gta right now... still have to use graph input to email.
a personal up date, nelson is the shit. we've found full time work, still looking for a place still loving this trip.

Ok, the game Net book lay out thing I've got I'm sure is sweet even though yes it's still not done. However life is sweet. you've got to think of the majority and how to change the flow of things. this way you can simply take out the concepts you don't want to work with. However you can do this with out destroying the ones you don't agree with. I hate most of the tablets that are coming out on lame operating systems that don't make for good modding. Instead I'm thinking about making a drop in box mod. so take the controller idea and make it so you can drop it into some thing that will take care of the mod and still fit in your gamers hands.  |

hey it's me, net book as of today almost a year late, has a functioning touch screen. shiped a few screens and controllers, will be building on more screens for projects.

work still happining. the mod books a good deal futher along. bought a new one so I can split the work down a bit. make much better finishing cuts and what have you. shipped some more parts now all the laptops we have will be maxed out. going to be saving up for a few things, Down payment on a decent car, 700 dollar range 13inch computer for next season (I hope it's the end of the summer for the new computer I want to build a second and third case off the sorted out dimentions I have down from this kind. if the computers are a bit more high end I can justify buying multitouch parts to get the most out of that kind of machine. but You only need one or two of these things if you need to dick around all the freaking time. other than that a regular net book is way way lest frustrating that a regular off the shelf (Balloon phone, 3g gimic) tabblet. I am liking the andriod way way more than Apples fucking practicaly joke Iphone or I pad, (though it's nice my grandmother can finaly send me emails, I still can't find a actual work use for the dam things, even the androids are just about dicking around novelties, the Apple shit started dripping out of the Foxconn factory butt hole the first that's all... so the apple contends to be the most disposable, and the smellist at this time, allways happens to the guy who beats off first on them awaiting asses (the-masses await Iphone 5 g 4 S camera.20.... gold eddition! plus video color HD3d) Attachments:
